Pre-Season Promotion
Greg Scheidecker has visited most of the tracks in the area promoting the Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway. The response has been very good. In addition, Greg has been meeting with the Blythe Chamber of Commerce, City Council, the Fair Board, and track sponsors. The response from the local community has been terrific. Finally, 500 flyers were sent to all of the drivers on the I-10 Speedway mailing list. If you want to get on the I-10 Speedway mailing list, contact Greg Scheidecker at (800) 342-2512 or e-mail greg@i10speedway.com.
Car Count Looking Good
We want to thank Bob Molner for promoting the I-10 Speedway at Tucson and Larry and David Gerchman for their ambassadorship at the Bullring in Las Vegas. All of the hard work of those promoting the I-10 Speedway is reaping benefits. The anticipated car count in all divisions is up. In the Late Model division, several new drivers have become members, including David Ross, Scott Dodd, Duray Endlich, Justin Fisher, Doug Elliott, Don Hefler, Mike Brady, Paul Crutcher, and Dave Scheidecker. Other Late Model drivers have made commitments to the I-10 Speedway Winter Blast but have not, as of yet, become members. These drivers include Jim Fisher, Ron Daniels, Doug Foos, Jack Robert Jr., and Pat Ackley. The car count in the Budweiser Modified division is also looking good. Paid new members include Mark Zibulsky, Keith Resco, Duray Endlich, Robert Davis, Chris Gerchman, and Bo Brady. Other Modified drivers who have made commitments to the I-10 Speedway Winter Blast but have not, as of yet, become members include Ron Brown, Ken Kulikowski, and Chris Golden. The Sunoco Fuel Pure Stock division will also see some new drivers. New paid members include Ryan Kerr, Duane Dillard, and John Kelley. Rick Clark has also made a commitment to drive in Pure Stock division at the 2003-2004 Winter Blast.
Lock in You Car Number
Drivers can lock in their car number by becoming a member of the I-10 Speedway in advance of the racing season. Membership applications are available at the I-10 Speedway Web site or by calling Greg Scheidecker at (800) 342-2512.
New Sponsors
We are proud to announce that Denny’s has come on board as a MAJOR sponsor of the 2003-2004 Winter Blast at the I-10 Speedway. Let’s all go by for breakfast, lunch or dinner and say thanks to Bob Young. Other new sponsors include Curves, SueSite/Global 101, Super 8 Motel, and Snap-On Tools. Contact information for all of the I-10 Speedway sponsors can be found at our Sponsor page at the I-10 Speedway Web site. The I-10 Speedway Event Sponsorships and VIP Party Packages are nearly sold out. Anyone interested in either of these programs should contact Greg Scheidecker at (800) 342-2512 or e-mail greg@i10speedway.com.
Points Fund
Hoosier Tires has added $1,000 to the I-10 Speedway points fund for the 2003-2004 Winter Blast. EZ-Up will continue as the sponsor of the Legends Cars.
Important Minor Release Info
Starting with the 2003-2004 racing season, BOTH parents MUST sign the minor’s release form in order for their children to have access to the pits.
We are very enthusiastic about the upcoming 2003-2004 Winter Blast, which is shaping up to be a fantastic season of racing. The increased car count in all divisions will enhance the competition on the track and increase the value of the purse for each division. In addition, race fans will get even more entertainment value out of their ticket purchase than last season. Come and experience the I-10 Speedway Winter Blast!
