RICHARDSON GETS HIS SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

BAKERSFIELD, California -- Brian Richardson started 8th in the NASCAR Late Model Race at Mesa Marin Raceway on Saturday Night. It had been raining on and off during the day and the weather cleared for the race. Richardson, the defending Mesa Marin Track Champion moved up through the field quickly with his G-Force Chassis passing 4 cars in the first 5 laps. By lap 9 Richardson was racing door to door with the leader for 3 laps. On lap 11 Richardson pulled into the lead and ran away to win his second straight race in the Mesa Marin Raceway NASCAR Late Model Series. Eric Richardson started 10th in his Richland Chevrolet sponsored car and was running 5th on lap 31 of the race when a car spun in front of him and he was taken out of the race.

Ray Marroquin finished second in his Cal Spas sponsored car after starting 16th and passing 14 cars in his G-force Chassis. Marroquin is a member of the G-Force Posse which includes Brian Richardson, Eric Richardson, and Mike Lay who qualified 3rd for the race. These cars have been designed and built by Gary Collins of West Coast Race Car Fabrication.
