MONROE, Washington -- The NASCAR Auto Zone Elite Division Northwest Series, NASCAR Randy’s Ring & Pinion Street Stock Bombers and the Hertz Equipment Rental Hornets had a mixture of a dry and wet racing surfaces to deal with Saturday night Evergreen Speedway. The afternoon practices were under a warm sunny sky. By race time the clouds started to roll in. The heat races were held on dry surfaces but as the main events got under way showers were in the area.

The Randy’s Ring & Pinion Street Stock Bomber 30-lap ‘A’ Main had a very slick and wet race track. Jim Foti was able to use his past experience of driving on the 3/8-mile oval in the rain to grab his first win this season and his second win overall. Both those wins came on a wet race track. John Burtsche was a distant second and last weeks winner Jason Fraser was third.

The Hertz Equipment Rental Hornets had a dryer surface to contend with during their three mains. A large car count had the fans whooping and hollering as these drivers used the entire 1/5-mile oval and then some. The first 15-lap main was won by Shawn Drew, the second by Dave Benson and the third by Rod Helmuth.

During the Bomber main the rain really moved in with a vengeance wetting everything down. After a 1 ½-hour delay for the rain to stop and the drying of the 3/8-mile, the NASCAR Auto Zone Elite Division Northwest Series took to the track. The OSO Lumber & Hardware 125 started with a green and yellow flag. After a few laps the track was dry and the green flag flew to start the 125 lap feature. Jason Jefferson beat everyone to the checkers and his second win this season with the series. It was his first win on a track other than Tri-City Raceway were he had won three times. John Bender, the winner of this event last year, finished second while Pete Harding settled for third.
