Red Bluff, CA -- After earlier winning his heat race, pavement late model star Ryan Foster easily captured Saturday night's Open Outlaw Kart A Main by three seconds as the Red Bluff Indoor Winter Season continued. Third quick Sean Becker won the dash, but was forced to battle through the B Main. He beat younger brother Daniel Becker in the 25 lap B Main, then charged to a second place finish behind Foster in the A Main with Steven Gannon placing third. After timing in sixth quick, Oregon's Chadd Noland won the dash, ran second in his heat and then captured the 30 lap Open Intermediate A Main with a winning margin of 1.25 seconds over Derek O'Bannon. Heat winner Brent Hamilton ran third. Kyle Larson made it four wins in the five indoor races so far this winter in the 125 Intermediate division and did it in a near clean sweep fashion. He settled for second fast time behind Brian Southers, but then posted wins in the dash, his heat and the 25 lap feature. B Main winner Jonny Lentz was 2.5 seconds back in second in the A Main with Derek Copeland in third. Steve Goodridge won his second straight F200 feature and Kevin Acosta capped a big night with a second place run. Acosta turned quick time, ran second to Jeremy Zirkle in the dash and won the heat race. Cyle Allison made it five straight wins in the Beginner Box Stock action after timing in third quick and winning his heat race. Lain Baker outraced Logan Seavey for second. The Box Stock results were unavailable due to a number of engine teardowns following the race.

Young Justin Grant paced 50 open outlaw karts in time trials with a 8.934 clocking. This was the first time that the Open Outlaws had dipped into the 8's on the expanded track. Kyle Larson was first into the 8's with his 125 the previous weekend. Pete Johnston was second quick at 8.956 and S Becker ran a 8.999. S Becker came from 4th to win the dash with a 1/4 second margin ahead of the photo finish between Shawn Amos and Reyna Krueger. Tyler McCain ran the quickest lap in the dash at 9.295 but finished last. Tyler Schaaf won heat 1 over Brandon Aldred while Grant settled for a B Main assignment with a third. Seventh quick Foster won the second heat over Johnston and Aaron Colburn. Foster ripped off a 9.169 lap in his heat and Johnston had a 9.156. Brian McCain was a little quicker as he won heat 3 by one second with a 9.146 best lap. Oregon's Joe Weststeyn ran second ahead of S Becker. T McCain won heat 4 with a best lap of 9.222 ahead of Jason Schuppert and D Becker. Josh Chartier captured heat 5 ahead of Gannon and Taylor Simas. The four transfers from the highly competitive B Main were gained by S Becker, D Becker, Justin Reinolds and kart builder Dean Bare. Just missing the move up were Beau Perkins and Simas. Reinolds had a best lap of 9.416 as he won the C Main over Matt Peacher and Bubba Hill. Cody Braund was the D Main winner ahead of David Wilson and Brett Miller. David Tarter took E Main honors with B Miller second ahead of Michael Tarter. The ten karts to advance to the A Main are half inverted for the feature lineup putting Schaaf and B McCain on the front row ahead of Foster, T McCain, Johnston and Gannon. Foster won the 30 lapper by three seconds over 11th starter S Becker with a best lap of 9.500. Gannon ran third ahead of J Weststeyn, Schaaf, B McCain, T McCain and Reinolds, the last lead lap finisher. T McCain had the quickest lap with a 9.432 run and Schaaf posted a 9.432.

Keith Bloom Jr was quickest of the 23 Open Intermediates with his 9.064 qualifying run that just nipped the 9.097 of Nevada's Mackena Bell. Hamilton ran a 9.106 and fourth quick O'Bannon was at 9.135. Sixth quick Noland won the dash by 3/4 second with a best lap of 9.698. Bell was second ahead of Hamilton. Long tow Ryan Gomes won heat 1 by a half-second over O'Bannon. Bloom ran the race's quickest lap, but finished 8th to relegate him to a B Main assignment. Mason Moore won heat 2 by 1.5 seconds with a best lap of 9.352 as Bell ran second. Hamilton outraced Noland and Oregon's T J Kress in heat 3. Robert Marcos won the B Main by 2 seconds over William Lyons and Nick DeCarlo. Bloom Jr also advanced with a fourth while Oregon's Chris Kress just missed in fifth. Noland was the 30 lap feature winner by 1.25 seconds over O'Bannon. Hamilton ran third ahead of Moore, last starter Bloom Jr, Steven Rogers, Marcos and DeCarlo. The top 11 were all lead lap and O'Bannon had the quickest lap 9.550 compared to the 9.591 of Noland.

Southers snapped Larson's season long string of quick times as he paced the 21 125s with a 9.123 effort. Larson was second at 9.152 and Jonny Lentz ran a 9.202. David Chaves had a 9.208 and Dillon Silverman was fifth quick. Larson came from the third row to win the dash by 1/2 second over pole starter Brad Patchen with a best lap of 9.548. Derek Copeland ran a quick 9.180 as he won heat one by just 1/7 second over Southers, who ran a 9.078 best. Larson won heat 2 by 1.5 seconds with a best lap of 9.287 as Silverman ran second. Patchen easily won heat 3 with a three second lead on second place Kenny Allen. Lentz ran fourth in his heat, but won the B Main by one second overAndrew Cumpton, Shane Graham and Josh Keheley. Larson finished 2.5 seconds ahead of runnerup Lentz in the 25 lap A Main with a best lap of 9.328. Silverman had the second quickest lap, but finished a lap down in 7th as Lentz came from 10th to place second over Copeland, Southers, Keheley and Cumpton.

There were only 7 F200s this week and Acosta was quickest at 10.602. Zirkle ran 10.979 and Goodridge ranked third at 11.119. Zirkle won the dash by just 0.08 seconds over Acosta. Zirkle's best lap was 10.485 and Acosta ran a 10.464. Acosta had a best of 10.496 as he won the heat race over Zirkle and Ashley Ruth. Goodridge finished one second ahead of Acosta in the feature run with Gary Gabel third over Karl Pavlik Jr and Ruth. Goodridge ripped off a 10.485 best in the feature and Acosta posted a quick 10.520.

David Lee from Maxwell was quickest of the 24 Beginner Box Stocks at 11.828. Chase Majdic had a 11.995 and Allison a 12.020. Devin Lee was fourth ahead of Richie Carrel. Sixth quick Logan Seavey won the dash over Carrel and Majdic. David Lee won heat 1 by two seconds over Carrel with a 11.748 best lap. Majdic also had a two second winning margin in heat 2 over Lain Baker and a best of 11.833. Allison clicked off a 11.698 and won heat 3 by 1.5 seconds over Zachary Rushing. Devin Lee outraced Brandon White in heat 4. Taylor Matson won the C Main ahead of Reilly Gillingwater and Carley Dougherty. L Seavey finished 3 seconds ahead of the pack in the B Main with a best lap of 11.656. Hunter Kinney ran second over Collin Burton and Matson. Allison's fifth straight win came with a 2 second margin in the 30 lapper. L Baker nipped 9th starter L Seavey in a photo for second. Majdic ran fourth over White, Matson, David Lee and Rushing. Allison's best feature lap was 11.593 and L Baker had a 11.624 best.
