LINNY WHITE AND BRADBURRY TRADE TWIN FEATURE WINS

San Bernardino, CA --

Robbie Hewitt scored a clean sweep in the Pro Stock class Saturday night at Orange Show Speedway by winning the 20 lap main event after posting fast time and winning both the dash and heat race. The pony stock class raced twin 25 lap features and Linny White won the first ahead of Todd Bradburry and Steve Rogers. Bradburry then won the second feature with Lindsey White second ahead of Linny White. Fast timer Jim Smith raced to a win in the 35 lap Legend Car main event with Gary Scheurell second. The NASA Mazda class came to the 1/4 mile paved oval for the first time and heat winner Bob Wright won their 25 lap main event in front of John Coleman.

There were 9 Pro Stocks on hand for the night’s action, but Mark Schriner, Chris Hayes and DuRay Endlich were all trailered before the 20 lap feature. Hayes was able to find another ride for the main event. Hewitt posted fast time and won both the dash and heat with Jim Conklin second in each. Conklin was again second in the 20 lap main as Tim Miskell ran third ahead of Fred Hernandez, Don Zoll Jr and Hayes.

As always, the Pony Stocks had a solid field of cars with 19 starting the first 25 lap main and 18 the second. Linny White posted fast time, but ran last in the dash that was won by Mark Shackleford ahead of Lindsey White and Bradburry. The first 25 lap main saw Linny White the winner over Bradburry, Steve Rogers, Lindsey White, Jack Schafer, Tony Lawler, Dean Fruneaux and Eric Spring. In the second main, it was Bradburry completing another huge night with a win with Lindsey White second ahead of Linny White, Jim Snow, Schafer, Lawler, Shackleford and Rogers. Charlie Sanford scratched from the second main after breaking in the first.

The Legend Cars also always bring a strong field and Jim White was the fastest of the 18 in time trials. Rod Anderson won the dash ahea of Tom Landreth and Smith. James Kawlawain won a heat ahead of Mark Gaiser and Chad Daly won the second heat in front of Donnie Akers. Smith was the feature winner with Scheurell second ahead of Anderson, Kevin Krausse, Dave Doll, Don Pinkus, Akers and Daly. The NASA Mazda sports car group saw Steve Coe the fast timer in a ten car field. Bob Coan won the dash and heat wins went to Tom Horning and Bob Wright. Wright then won the 25 lap main ahead of John Coleman, Rene Cervantez, Coe, Larry Sukay and Coan.
