The FLASHCO SRL Southwest Tour Series started 2008 loaded with talent, including veterans, young up and comers and numerous former champions.
When the checkered flag fell on the series finale at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it was two-time NASCAR Southwest Tour champion Jim Pettit II defeating another former champ Craig Raudman for the 2008 FLASHCO SRL Southwest Tour Series title.

YAKIMA SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2009 SCHEDULE YAKIMA SPEEDWAY  Yakima Speedway has released the schedule for the 2009 racing season. The season will open on April 18th and 19th with the Apple Cup. The season finale is set for October 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

AMA ANNOUNCES 2009 AMA RACING WEST HARE SCRAMBLES AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST ASSOCIATION The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) announced today the 2009 schedule for the AMA Racing West Hare Scrambles Championship Series. The Western United States' premier motorcycle cross-country series features racing on some of the toughest off-road terrain in North America, and offers classes for a range of ages and skill levels.
For 2009, AMA Racing has partnered with Off Road Sports LLC to provide promotion and logistical support for the AMA Racing West Hare Scrambles Championship Series, including management of the series website at www.westernharescrambles.com.

RINGERS GLOVES ROUNDUP MINDY’S MONDAY MINUTE  I hope everyone had a very wonderful Thanksgiving holiday weekend! Mine was pretty laid-back. My mom drove over from Bethalto (Ill.) to Indianapolis and cooked my brother and me a delicious, as always, Thanksgiving dinner. Our plan was to wake up early and take in some door-buster deals on Black Friday, but we opted to sleep in and shop later in the day, which the deals were just as good, thankfully. I woke up yesterday morning to a dusting of snow on my backyard deck and decided it was time to crawl back into my warm and toasty bed and then back to the grind today.

FROM FULL MOON RACING TO FULL THROTTLE RACING RED BLUFF OUTLAWS  Racing in Red Bluff went from a frenzy of full moon racing last week to some of the finest racing of the year. First off, the brothers rocked. The McCain Brothers and the Becker were simply all incredible. Tyler McCain, one of winning-est, championed racers in the sport jumped to a quick lead over his brother Brian in the A Main Event and held the lead the whole way.

BARKSHIRE COMPLETES SEASON WITH ROOKIE TITLE NASCAR CAMPING WORLD SERIES, WEST  Jeff and the 46 team had high hopes they could achieve another top 5 finish on October 25th in the Camping World West Series’ final race in Roseville, California. It would have been their 8th top 5 finish of the 13 race season. They seemed headed for it when the bad luck hit. As Jeff explained, “We ran in the top 5 for most of the race and were in fourth, with a pretty good shot at gaining another couple spots, when I felt the right rear tire going down. Then we had a caution and elected to chance staying out as there was only 24 laps to go, but when the green flag dropped, the car had no bite and was trying to spin out so we got hammered from behind and put into the wall.” Following repairs, they were able to return to the track, but only to finish a disappointing l5th.
