Gosh, I do a lot of time bitching about stuff, especially NASCAR and why they can’t get it right. I was all prepared this morning to lay into them yet again. I do have a few opinions on these combo races they are having between the NASCAR West and East, but today it all seemed trivial.

Why? Because when I opened my email I had a wonderful story on the race, an exclusive from Lee Elder. That meant a lot to me. And it got me thinking how blessed I am to have all the people that help RacingWest--Bob Gardner, Kaye Reshaw, Melinda Moulaison, I really could go on and on…but if I did I would risk leaving off a deserving person’s name and I don’t want to do that. But you all know who you are. From the fan in the stand typing a Near Live at Colorado to the driver that offered shuttle services at Texas and to all the teams that are so accommodating with their cools when my throat is parched…all of you are awesome. I love ya, man! He he.

RacingWest would be nothing without everyone. I get fairly passionate about my sponsors…and now I am getting all emotional about the all the rest of you that makes it happen.

So…THANK YOU to all!

Then I also was thinking about the Near Live. There is just something very special about the Near Live. You can take a camera to a track or a video recorder, you can put the race on TV, on the web, on YouTube, on a PodCast or you can even have similar programs to what RacingWest does, but the success in RacingWest’s Near Live is that it never left its humble beginnings…we never even added a spell checker. It is the same program we used so many years ago when we typed what we saw for the moms and wives of the drivers.

So with that soppy moment in time…I am off to …well maybe question a few things about the NASCAR combo races…it just occurred to me…maybe some of the things I am questioning are not so trivial… ;)
