Oh boy… I have made some goofy mistakes on RacingWest over the years but I made a major one yesterday…however, I am not correcting it. And in fact it would have gone unnoticed because no one said a thing… and plenty of people should have realized… Hey that’s not right! But it took the photographer… Denny…AKA Scruffy to let me know I had my fly unzipped so to speak.

The photo of Alex Haase with the girls kissing him was of course Jason Bowles…so how could I actually look at the photo and put it up wrong?

Well hey I call Brett Thompson Brent…and I know he is Brett and I have mixed Mike Duncan and Mike David up…with their names before…thanks to Microsoft completing my typing… but the Haase and Bowles mix-up?

Well, in the wee hours of the morning yesterday when I got up to check for results I read rookie won … blah blah… the first name I saw was Haase. I grabbed the winning photo…put Alex Haase on it and then put it up online. THEN I started inputting results and saw that it was rookie Bowles not Haase…So instead of swapping names on photos I put a different photo of Bowles up.

Then I read the article and thought how cool it was with the first time winner, with two rookies with Scott Gaylord back, with Johnny Borneman fourth…with Mike David solidifying his lead…

And I added that photo of Scruffies with the two girls kissing Haase… because I thought that was such a great photo…

…just one problem…it was still Bowles… why didn’t I change the name on that photo? And then to make sure everyone realized how stupid I had been I even talk about the photo…OMG…how embarrassing… but hey…it was still a great race… was cool to have two rookies upfront and cool to have two beauties kissing the winner… no matter who the winner was…but I am sure Bowles was happy it was him and not Haase
