The following from the Cayuga Motor Speedway Website:
"Since 1966 Cayuga Motor Speedway has strived hard to present the best in oval track competition, and through this hard work and dedication to the sport, the track has become regarded by fans, racers, and sponsors as Canada’s premier racing facility.
One of the hallmarks at Cayuga Speedway has been its "Specials Only" format to provide motorsport fans with the best short-track racing in North America, which was attained through major sponsorship backing and a large base of dedicated fans.
In the exciting decades of its existence, fans attended Cayuga Motor Speedway to enjoy prestigious racing series as the American Speed Association (ASA), Hooters Cup, Great American Truck Racing (GATR), Canadian Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (CASCAR), DIRT (Drivers Independent Racing Tracks) and the Player’s Ltd/GM Motorsport Series.
Rusty Wallace and Dick TrickleDarryl WaltripThe track has hosted stock car racing at its best, and many of the biggest names in this popular type of racing have participated in several innovation and unique sanctioned events, including Bobby Allison, Davey Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Bill Elliott, Ron Fellows, Junior Hanley, Matt Kenseth, Alan Kulwicki, Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, Rusty Wallace, Dick Trickle, Darrell Waltrip, and many more.
However, the non-stop fender to fender action at Cayuga Motor Speedway has not only been limited to stocks cars. The speedway has hosted the monsters of motorsports - the "big rig" semi trucks, NTPA Truck and Tractor Pulls, and major musical entertainment including "Another Roadside Attraction" featuring Canada’s Tragically Hip. Plus some major musical acts like Sass Jordan, Kim Mitchell, The Tea Party, Travis Tritt and David Wilcox have graced the stages at Cayuga International Speedway.
Set on nearly 300 acres, Cayuga Motor Speedway offers the motorsport fan a full range of amenities. There are 1500 campsites - many serviced with hydro and water - refreshment and souvenir booths, and free supervised parking ensure comfort and enjoyment for all who attend the events. An added bonus is the free entertainment each and every night of the Special Event Weekend under the covered band shell pavilion - a popular gathering spot for all who enjoy the excitement of racing at Cayuga Motor Speedway.
Quality is paramount at Cayuga, and for fans, competitors, media, and sponsors, Cayuga Motor Speedway continues to offer a highly-professional motorsport facility, one of the finest of its kind in North America."
