Madison International Speedway is located in the beautiful countryside of the Town of Rutland just ten miles south of Madison. This half-mile paved oval, constructed in 1969, was built for speed as Wisconsin's fastest times ever on a half-mile have been set at MIS. Grandstand seating is available for over 10,000 fans with free parking. MIS is Wisconsin's fastest half mile featuring these weekly divisions that will take to the track in 2006: Super Late Models, ASA Late Models, Limited Late Models, and Area Sportsman.
It won't just be a night out...live racing is an experience you will never forget," said promoter Steve Einhaus. Madison International Speedway truly features something for everyone: A family friendly environment featuring affordable prices, activities for the kids, and first class concessions; and a racing tradition second to none in the Midwest.
A quick look at the list of past champions speaks for itself: Short track legends such as Dick Trickle, Joe Shear, Johnny Ziegler, and Tom Reffner; NASCAR stars Matt Kenseth and Travis Kvapil all have been crowned track champions. The best in the Midwest truly call MIS their home track! MIS is justifiably billed as "The Track of Champions."
