| San Fernando’s Rip Michels assumed the lead after race leader Scott Dodd was penalized for a bumping incident and went on to win the ACDelco Super Late Model division 50-lap feature race Saturday night (June 30) at Irwindale Speedway. Michels scored his 7th consecutive victory and 51st career win at Irwindale Speedway. Nineteen year old Derek Becker of Highland finished second, 0.495 of a second behind Michels and Stephen Peace of Phoenix, Ariz. finished third. Division points leader Travis Thirkettle finished seventh. |
BG Products Pure Stocks

| Jeff Elder of Redlands won his second consecutive BG Products Pure Stocks race Saturday night (June 30) at Irwindale Speedway. Elder and second place finisher Michelle Rouse of San Bernardino raced side by side for several laps of the 30-lap race until Elder broke away for the win. Tommy Agosta of Chino Hills finished third. Division points leader Ron Davis finished fourth in the caution free race. |

Jan’s Towing Women’s Demolition Derby

| Sarah Atkinson of Upland won Saturday night’s (June 30) Women’s Jan’s Towing Demolition Derby at Irwindale Speedway. Quebet King of Compton finish second and Kim Meganhardt of Murrieta finished third. It marked the first time Irwindale Speedway held an all women’s demolition derby and eight cars competed in the event. |

| Rich Garver of Torrance won his first ever race at Irwindale Speedway winning Saturday night’s (June 30) Justice Brothers Mini Stocks race. Graver edged division points leader Tyler Rogers (Riverside) at the finish line by 0.115 of a second for the victory. Dennis Croasmun of Alta Loma finished third in the 30-lap race. |
