ASA Speed Truck Challenge

 
Darren Young of Gilbert, AZ won Saturday night’s (July 21) ASA Speed Trucks race Saturday night (July 21) at Irwindale Speedway. Young’s margin of victory over second place finisher Andrew Allen of Garden Grove was 1.406 seconds. Steve Rzesnowiecky of Las Vegas, NV finished third. Twenty-one trucks competed in the 50-lap race. Division points leader Victor Pfluger finished fifth.

Auto Club Late Models

 
Division points leader Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills took the lead from Michael Wright on lap 19 and went on to win his third race of the season in the Auto Club Late Model division 40-lap feature race at Irwindale Speedway. Huddleston’s margin of victory was 2.522 seconds over second place finisher Dan DiGiacomo of Dana Point. Wright of Yucca Valley finished third. Eight cars were involved in a fiery first lap crash in which five cars were eliminated from the race.

Bandoleros

 
Andrew Anderson of Lancaster won Saturday night’s (July 21) Bandoleros race at Irwindale Speedway. Brianna Holley of Las Vegas finished second and Aaron Anderson of Lancaster finished third. Nine cars competed in the 15-lap race.

Legend Cars

 
Tom Landreth of Alta Loma won Saturday night’s (July 21) Legends Car race at Irwindale Speedway. It was the defending division champion’s second consecutive win and third victory in his last four races. The victory also landed Landreth a berth in the October 11-13 Raceceiver Legends Car Asphalt Nationals at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Division leader Darren Amidon of Santee finished second and Gary Scheuerell of Murietta finished third. Twenty-nine cars competed in the 35-lap race.

Super Trucks

 
Matthew Hicks of Santee took the lead from rookie Conner Cantrell of Valencia on lap 35 and went on to win Saturday night’s (July21) King Taco Super Trucks race at Irwindale Speedway. Hicks win was his third of the season and had a 0.616 second margin of victory over second place finisher Ray Robinson of Rancho Cucamonga. Logan Henson of Valencia finished third. Division points leader Pat Mintey Jr. finished in sixth place. Cantrell started the race in second and battled for the lead with Robinson early and with Hicks in the later stages until losing position as a result of an incident. The sixteen year old rookie ended up in 12th place. Twenty trucks competed in the 40-lap race.
