Auto Club Late Models


Lindsey King of Cherry Valley became the first woman driver to win a NASCAR Auto Club Late Model race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale beating Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills to the finish line by 0.218 seconds in the 40 lap feature race. The 19 year old driver who started from the pole position and led the entire race is a member of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. Joanides finished in second place and maintained a two point lead over Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills in division standings. Huddleston took third place and has finished second or better in six of the last seven races.

King Taco Super Trucks


Conner Cantrell of Valencia and Joe Herold of Poway battled for the lead for 12 laps until Cantrell took the lead on lap 30 and went on to win the King Taco Super Trucks 40 lap feature race Saturday night (August 2) to TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Cantrell’s fifth of the season and his fourth in his last six races. Joe Herold of Poway finished in second place. Division points leader Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill and Mason Britton of Sacramento battled for third place on the final lap with Mintey finishing third and Britton fourth.

Division points leader Tom Landreth of Alta Loma took over the lead on lap 23 and cruised to his third Legends Cars victory of the season in the 35 lap feature race Saturday night (August 2) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Landreth’s victory was his 39th career win in Legends Cars competition. Cole Cabrerea of Exeter finished second and 14 year old Ryan Reed of Bakersfield finished in third place.

USAC K&N Ford Focus Midgets


Division points leader Alex Bowman of Tucson, Ariz. took the lead on lap 28 from Brennan Newberry of Bakersfield and went on to win the K&N Ford Focus Midget 35 lap feature race on Saturday night (August 2) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Newbery finished in second place 1.916 seconds behind the winner. Brendan Langlois of Kamloops BC Canada finished in third place.

West Coast Pro Trucks


Seventeen year old Dalton Kuhn of San Marcos took the lead on lap 17 from Jeff Williams of Newbury Park and went on to win the West Coast Pro Trucks 30 lap feature race at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday, August 2. Ricky James of Murrieta took advantage of lapped traffic to take over second place from Williams and ended up finishing 0.463 seconds behind the winner. Williams maintained the division points lead with his third place finish.
